While strolling down the beach today
I came upon a lamp.
It was dusty, it was dirty,
it was dingy, it was damp.
It appeared that all it needed
to restore it was a scrub,
so I dug it from the salty sand
and gave a little rub.
In a moment it was glistening.
Then, right before my eyes
there appeared a purple genie
of incalculable size.
He was massive and magnificent
and glorious and grand,
and he bowed and said dramatically,
"Your wish is my command."
It was then I did the stupid thing
I now regret I did,
for I know I'll never be again
an ordinary kid.
I considered just a moment,
then I looked him in the eye
and I asked that giant genie,
"Would you please make me a pie?"

i liked this poem because was on a unsal topic the words rhymed amazingly. It was also a funny image of the boy being turned into a pie. I liked the part when the poet rhymed about the lamp. I enjoyed working in my group and talking about the poem.
i thought the poem was funny because he saw a dirty lamp and a genie came out and he wished make me a pie so he turned into a pie.LOL.i enjoyed working in my group it was fun.
I thought the poem wasn't very good because it was quite boreing but the word rymed really well and I can't take the mic out of that. :)

I thought this poem was very good because it used great alliteration.Also, it had very good.So overall it was very good so i would give it 8.5/10.
I liked this pom because it used great alliteration. Also it has some good images what describe the poem. Even though I liked the poem i didn't think it was that good.

I think this poem is pretty rubbish even though it was and still is. This was my favouite poem of them all because it is verey funny on how Jake B was reading it to start with. I did not enjoy reading the poem even though i liked it and it was my favouite poem of them all. I enjoyed discussing the poem with my English class and my teacher Miss Rawlence and I also enjoyed discussing this poem with you the members of the public. I also think that this poem has used great alliteration what goes with the theme of the poem "While strolling down the beach today". Some parts of the poem did not rhyme other parts did. I agree with anonymous writer number 2 that is was very funny.

When i read the poem i did not find it very funny but 1person in my group did erin adams did and no one else in r group could find out why we liked it. R teacher Miss Rawlence said it was the best poem out of all of them and we called not think why she said that as every body else thought an lien stole my underpants was alot funnyer then the rest so we a;; disagreed with miss

I Loved the poem while srolling down the beach because it was funny and everybody laughed because the man got turned into a pie when he wanted to eat a pie. My group loved the poem i had a great time!

Our poem was the funniest because the kid got turned into a pie. The image of this was funny and it was quiet short and it rhymed. I like working in my group to discuss this peom.
